The Riders of Rohan
Here we see the entrance of the Riders of
Rohan, the Rohhirrim, in all their glory. A better entrance
song for them could not possibly be imagined. The song
combines the sound that will be consistently used with the
people of Rohan with the power that is with these
horse-lords.
The confrontation between Eomer and Aragorn,
Legolas, and Gimli is a short but tense seen which the song
displays well. In the end, Eomer is generous enough to donate
two of his horses to the party to send them on their way.
This song also shows Aragorn approaching the
place where they thought Merry and Pippin died. Their anguish
is immeasurable. This song highlights their frustration with
the entire chain of events.
