The Forbidden Pool

Gollum is in trouble again, and this time it is from the Men who have captured Sam and Frodo. He is splashing about in the pool which if one is to go into, death is the penalty. Faramir has archers at the ready to kill him, but Frodo manages to stay his hand.

Smeagol is then captured and beat by the Men. Faramir, upon learning that Smeagol is after the Precious, confronts Frodo and is threatening to take the One Ring. Faramir states that the Ring will go to Gondor, and to his father. Faramir has never had the favor of his father and hopes to do something that will gain him honor in his father's eyes, and he sees this as his chance. The song has a nice tense sequence for when the archers are about to shoot Smeagol, and it continues to be dark as Faramir is going to take the Ring from Frodo.
