Amon Hen
This track highlights the Amon Hen - the
great statues of the Kings of old - Aragorn's predecessors in
the line of Elendil. Their magnificence in the movie is an
absolutely stunning visual image. No one reading the books
alone could have imagined the statues to be that grand.
The music in this song backs up the
magnificent display of visuals in this segment of the movie.
It is also a song of haste - the Uruk-Hai are right on their
tails, which Legolas senses. This song is very graceful and
flows extraordinarily well. Shore combines the majesty of the
statues, with the sense of flight, and the stunning landscape
amazingly well.
